Paolo Scarpa glass artist in Venice with the ancient technique in lost wax

Young Venetian artist,
Paolo Scarpa is a glass sculptor who uses the ancient lost wax technique adapted to glass,
and carries out unique and original works:
"Innovation springs from tradition ...".
As has never been done before, he is able to enhance the beauty
that only glass can convey.

Paolo Scarpa continually challenges himself
by searching for and experimenting with new shapes,
applications, ideas, designing glass, steel,
marble and Plexiglas installations,
glass walls and sheet glass in high relief.

"I chose glass for my sculptures because, loving light as I do,
I couldn’t help loving glass.
Glass comes to life with light and this is its true beauty.

Light is what allows the sculpture to approach the infinite,
the divine, transcending the material level that would
otherwise constrain it to the typical limited uses of all solid objects".
